Ice Cream for Lunch!?

So after having a strong few days of Easter left-overs,
(and good wine to go with it…)
I needed to get back into my healthy outlook.

Today started great actually,
I went for a good power jog on the elliptical machine for 30 minutes
(I sounded like an asthmatic)

Then I had Ice Cream for Lunch…

You heard it.

Actually I made my own yummy tasting stuff,
with probably only a few calories more than my usual Slim-Fast shake.
This is a lot more of a soft serve consistency, but here is the recipe.
HINT: I always keep some chopped up overripe bananas in my freezer
for moments like this!

Ingredients:
1 scoop of milk chocolate Slim-Fast
1 frozen large banana
unsweetened almond milk (I usually use 30-60 calorie variety)

Tools:
Hand mixer with blender attachment
(or just use the good old food processor or blender, your choice)

Add the ingredients to the processor and some milk (depending on what consistency you want, you can add more milk for a more milk-shake style or less for a fro-yo style)

I could eat this for EVERY meal!
Blend till all ingredients are mixed together and enjoy!

It's easy and really hit my craving of ice cream without me feeling guilty and feeling like I broke my diet by eating too much (yeah yeah judge but admit it, if there is a pint…somehow that pint goes down in one sitting!)

The Right Left Turn

Yesterday marked the first real right choice I've made for myself in a long while; I turned left instead of going straight. For anyone reading this and thinking "um... What does this chick mean?!" Don't worry. Turning left means leaving the court I live on and making one lap around the street into a 2.8 mile brisk walk that I really feel this morning. I haven't done that in a long time. It means that I'm taking my goal seriously and getting into shape for realzies. I lost already 3.8 pounds, and look forward to actually trying to fit into some clothes. ( yep got bad enough that it was either lose the weight or trade in an entire wardrobe of stunning outfits.... First options seems a lil cheaper. Don't ya think?)

Tomorrow I hope to weigh in again and let you know about my goals. Starting point, and what I'm using to kick start things. Until then... Good morning coffee.

P.S. My google maps said the one way walk is 28 minutes long. I did it in 23 minutes. Take that google maps!!!!

The struggle

As a 5 foot 2 inch tall person, when I gain 5 pounds I look like I gained 10. Yet, when I lose 5, I don't see any change... Hence... Le struggle.

-.-

Oh well, I've heard it said that it takes 3 month of hard work for others to notice. Here's to some hard work.

P.s. Can we just awe over my new lil bunny?

Give Me Your Number

So the tricky question.
I could give you the number from my driver's license.
I could give you my college weight
I could give you my high school prom weight.
Maybe my ideal number
What number I THINK I am

But that wouldn't be the truth,
and why lie?

What's the benefit from it?
It only makes the journey more difficult.
So last week I hit an all-time low…
my highest weight ever.

That threshold I promised I would never pass…
I Passed.
Last week I weighed 202.6 pounds.

Since that I adjusted my eating and activeness
and today I am at 199.8.

Not much but phew! I am under that 200 mark.
